Kingwood Barktoberfest began as a grassroots effort to raise awareness and funds for local non-profit animal shelters and rescue groups. Barktoberfest is a joint collaboration between Jamie Bakke of Pampered Paws Boutique and Jennifer Tran of Urban Paws Magazine.
Both entrepreneurs in the pet industry, they also share a knack for planning canine socials and a passion for animal welfare. The two were able to combine their talents and expertise to bring an event of this nature to the community - for people and their dogs.
Barktoberfest is supported entirely by sponsorships and donations. Through the generosity of people in the community, we can continue our efforts to raise awareness of responsible pet ownership and the importance of rescue and adoption.
